welcome to the found footage page! here are entries of various horror movies that focus heavily on technological horrors that can happen in our day-to-day lives
while most movies usually fall under multiple categories, these movies in particular focus heavily on the medium that they use to represent whatever horrors are out to get the characters: usually with a handheld camera or two. many of these movies feature supernatural elements but don't quite fit the strict definition of supernatural horror movies. heed the warnings on the horror shrine index page: we're gonna be delving into movies here that are truly shocking LOL!
some of these movies can fall under supernatural or even creature feature, if it weren't for the one thing that sets these kinds of movies apart from the rest: these are filmed by one or more characters in the movies, giving us (the audience) a sort of voyeuristic pov into the terrors that plagued whoever it befell. other movies found here aren't found footage necessarily, but the problems that affect the characters usually originate from the tech they use everyday.
